🎯 Work Smart Wednesday
👋 Hey there!
Here is your weekly dose of Work Smart Wednesday
In these emails I will share with you 3 things to help you work smarter in 3 minutes or less. That leaves you with 10,077 more minutes to conquer your goals this week
Feel free to forward this email to friends
1. 💪 Targeted exercise with MuscleWiki
MuscleWiki is a website and free app that provides you with a bunch of resources to help you with fitness. I am an absolute amateur when it comes to health and fitness, but have recently started taking care of my health more - playing badminton regularly again, lifting weights, hiking, and swimming daily in our pool.
I particularly like MuscleWiki's interactive homepage image that lets you select a target muscle group as it then leads to hyper-clear guidance on exercises to work that work that muscle group. That guidance includes gifs that link to full video explanations/demonstrations on YouTube.
A useful tool, and a lesson on keeping things simple.
2. 🙌 Client who helped me
As mentioned, I have been exercising more recently. I have also been sitting at my desk incorrectly for the past couple of weeks due to a change in home office. That has led to some back pain.
While I have been stretching out with some quick yoga occasionally, I found this video from my client, Colin, to be super useful. If you sit at your desk a lot while working, I think you will find it useful too.
This isn't sponsored in any way, just something I found genuinely useful and want to share (like every other post in these emails!).
If you have back pain or know somebody else who does, you can email Colin for some free advice and check out his course here.
3. 💡 Quote I'm pondering
"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them – work, family, health, friends and spirit – and you’re keeping all of these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.
But the other four balls – family, health, friends and spirit – are made of glass.
If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life." - Bryan Dyson, former CEO of Coca-Cola
